Strategic Risk

Strategic Risk examines how decisions at the leadership and system-design level create exposure that is not immediately visible but compounds over time. It focuses on how organizations structure operations, adopt technology, allocate resources, and define priorities in ways that either strengthen or undermine long-term stability. This includes risks tied to AI deployment, governance gaps, workforce strategy, compliance misalignment, and platform dependencies.

Rather than isolating individual issues, this category analyzes how small design choices scale into systemic vulnerabilities. It looks at how misaligned incentives, incomplete data, and deferred decision-making lead to downstream consequences such as regulatory exposure, operational failure, reputational damage, and loss of control over core functions.

Strategic Risk is not about reacting to problems after they occur. It is about identifying where risk is being introduced at the point of decision, particularly in environments where technology, policy, and human systems intersect.
